The Macdonald Burlington Hotel has stood on its site in New Street, Birmingham since 1874. In that time it has welcomed guests from all over the world.

The secret is not to stand still, and over the years the hotel has always tried to change with the times. No more so than now with the introduction of air conditioning into the 112 bedrooms and improvements to the hotels wedding and events packages.

Ceremony and Celebrations

The Horton Suite has held events large and small. Some of the leading figures in Birmingham's rich history have spoken there and later returned to enjoy less formal Annual Dinners and Banquets. 320 people can be accommodated for events.

Berlioz Restaurant is another option for smaller lunchtime events for up to 40 people. This stylish eaterie is named after the French composer Hector Berlioz who is reputed to have stayed at the Hotel.

Different venues offer different packages, some limited, some elaborate. At the Macdonald Burlington Hotel we appreciate that organising this special event can be very complicated.

We have put together our own exclusive package to ensure that there are no details forgotten or any unexpected bills.

The cost of the package varies according to the menu chosen but the items included stay the same.

• Red carpet on arrival with a glass of champagne for the couple.
• A complete drinks package to include a glass of wine on arrival, two glasses of wine with the meal, and a glass of sparkling wine for the toasts.
• 3 Course menu and coffee.
• A menu tasting prior to the event for six people is offered free of charge to ensure you are happy with the meal your guests will enjoy.

• Flowers on every table from our award-winning florist.
• Children's goody bags, menus, and toys to play with on the day are also provided.
• Accommodation in a Suite, Club Room, or Four Poster is provided on the day of the event for the wedding couple. Preferential accommodation rates are made available to all guests.
• A first anniversary return stay is offered to the wedding couple.
