The spectacular setting of Parklands, Quendon Hall, opened its doors as an exclusive wedding venue in 2003. Since then it has proved to be very popular with couples wanting something more than can be offered by luxury hotels.

The house itself is a 17th Century private country house on the Essex / Herts borders located in one of the oldest deer parks in the country and is offered on an exclusive basis as ‘Your House for the Day’. With stunning views, a tranquil setting, spacious reception and banqueting rooms you can be sure that yours will be a day to remember

Ceremony and Celebrations

With prices sensibly set for both hire and in-house catering, your commitment ceremony and celebration at Parklands is surprisingly affordable for such a luxurious venue. And unlike many venues, Parklands not only offers exclusive use of the house and grounds for the day but also permits outside caterers for wedding parties requiring a specialised menu based upon cultural or religious requirements.

The Ceremony Room – formerly the Old Billiard Room, with stunning views of the Deer Park, holds up to 85 guests. However we have 2 further rooms available for your ceremony should you have more guests to accommodate.

The beautifully decorated Drawing Room is perfect for after ceremony drinks but can also double as a Ceremony Room holding up to 100 guests.

What's on offer

The stunning Banqueting Hall, with its views over the gardens and water fountain and the Deer Park just beyond it is simply breathtaking. During warmer months the grand glass doors can be thrown open so your guests can take their drinks onto the patio. The Hall seats up to 140 for your wedding breakfast but is also licensed for Ceremonies to cater for larger weddings of up to 250.

The silk lined Marquee with its golden chandeliers offers the perfect setting for large weddings, seating up to 450 guests.

In addition, Parklands offers 5 rooms for overnight accommodation including the Bridal Suite, comprising a magnificent bedroom with 4 poster bed, a separate dressing room and deluxe bathroom with a bath big enough for 2!
