Set deep in the Chiltern Valley, only 20 minutes from Central Reading, amidst rolling hills boasting many varieties of wild flowers, deer and game is the picturesque location of Old Luxters which is regularly used by the BBC for filming purposes. Although converted, Luxters has retained its charm and character of the bygone era with original oak beams and natural light. The 17th Century Barn however lacks nothing in modern facilities and can comfortably seat 30 – 120 guests for Receptions and 150 for Standing Receptions. The majestic wooden and glass doors to the barn, open onto our spacious courtyard surrounded by attractive rural outbuildings which is truly beautiful. To the side, a lawn area is available for a marquee and entertainment. We are an exclusive venue, and can ensure you that you will enjoy a peaceful day with no distractions. | Unlike the majority of our competitors, Luxters Management Team firmly believes that with probably the most one important days of your life, that we build the day that you wish together, rather than offering a “mass produced package to suit us. Our in house catering, under the executive control of the famous TV chef, Antony Worrall Thompson, ensures delicious food and excellent service at a very competitive price. We source only the highest quality produce from local suppliers and are delighted to include a tour of our Kitchens in our welcome meeting. We regularly cater for children and guests with special dietary requirements. We are able to help you on every aspect of your reception from flowers, balloons, ice sculptures, taxis, accommodation, bands, cakes and photography etc. The list is endless and with experience of over 1000 weddings you can rest assured that we have strong long established ties with local suppliers. Discounts are not only available for the month of the year but are also applicable should your celebration be any day other than a Saturday! |

| Celebrations will be in either our Marquee or Barn, the choice is yours! Both can be decorated as much or as little as you feel necessary. Enjoy a bite or two of Canapés and a glass of bubbly with your guests either in the barn or, during summer months in our cobblestone courtyard. Your Reception will take place in the barn proper which is decorated with hops in keeping with the rustic feel. Candles in the wall scones will be lit to add to the auspiciousness of the day and your guests will be seated at either round or banquet tables, decorated in Ivory Linen. A delightful mural of a vineyard on the wall, reminds you that Luxters is also home to our working winery and brewery, customers of which include “Fortnum and Mason” and “The Queens Household”. After your sumptuous meal, served by our smartly dressed staff, drink and dance the night away to our in-house discotheque or your own entertainment, if you’d prefer. While we’re thinking about it, why not plan something entirely different such as a Barbecue, Hog Roast, Tour of our working winery and brewery, Themed event or, if you really want to go over the top an Operatic Performance?
