Set in a 28 acres parkland of outstanding natural beauty and only 40 minutes from Bristol, Bath and Cheltenham,  the Centre blends ancient and modern, East and West. You can see this unique fusion of inspirations in the architecture, interiors and in the landscaping The grounds include a meditative garden, sculpture walk, reflective ponds and an eastern inspired Shinto woodland.

The Centre itself has a number of uniquely beautiful rooms, connected by a cloistered walled garden. The walls are awash with colours that are both vibrant and peaceful. Natural light dances through windows, archways and skylights. Bamboo whispers against ancient cotswold stone, and solid oak woodwork brings warmth and solidity.

Ceremony and Celebrations

We respect all faiths and lifestyles. When holding your wedding or special celebration at Matara, you will be given exclusive use of Matara, withour intrusion or restriction. Matara's breathtaking glass-domed banquet room can seat up to 150 guests. There are several interconnected smaller spaces which can be used for more intimate celebrations.

We are licensed for civil and commitment ceremonies and can also offer Matara for renewal of vows and baby naming ceremonies also. Catering can be supplied by the reknowned Williams Kitchens at Calcot or Relish Catering to ensure a truly impeccable service.
