The Edge, established in 1991 is a beautifully presented six story building set in one of London 's most picturesque gardens, Soho Square. It is known throughout the world as one of the UK's favourite gay hangouts and is legendary for its cosmopolitan feel and mixed clientele.

The Edge has been awarded the right to hold Civil Partnership Ceremonies by the City of  Westminster. So not only is the edge a fantastic place to hold your Civil Partnership, reception or party, you can now hold the entire ceremony here too! and with four fabulously different and uniquely styled floors you are sure to have a ball.

Ceremony and Celebrations

Start the day with your guests congregating in Soho Square awaiting your arrival. Then walk down one of the most picturesque and awe-inspiring aisles in London, through the beautiful gardens of Soho Square. Parade your way up to our 2nd floor Alfresco bar where the ceremony can take place in style. Recite your vows by the balcony with mesmerizing and breathtaking views over Soho Square, a vision both of you will cherish for many years to come. Next, out into Soho Square again for confetti and photos, compliments of his royal Highness, Charles II (or his statue anyway).

After the photos make your way up to your choice of the 1st floor Hygge Lounge or 2nd floor Alfresco bar for a champagne reception. Here you and your guests will be waited on hand and foot and presented with a fabulous array of some of the finest food around freshly prepared by our resident chef, Lucy Warrick of 'Warricks of Soho'. With a fantastic menu including hot fork and cold finger buffets or some of the most divine canapes money can buy you are sure to be thoroughly spoilt. We can even cater for smaller parties wanting a three to five course sit down meal.

Once your guests have feasted on the culinary delights on offer, you can make your way up to the W1 Club bar for a fantastic trip back to the 70's/80's and the days of Studio 54. With our flashing dance floor, podiums, mirror balls and dance poles you will feel like John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever strutting your stuff on the dance floor whilst being treated to some of the finest cocktails and service in town.

What's on offer

The edge can hold Weddings and Civil Partnerships Ceremonies for up to 40 people in our beautiful Alfresco bar, which boasts some stunning views of the picturesque Soho Square.

Pre and post ceremony champagne and canapés for yourself and your guests is also available along with a fantastic range of mouth watering buffets. Confetti and photos with of bonnie Prince Charlie (or at least his statue) in the Square are optional of course.

Receptions for up to 200 people can be held in any or all of our floors. Each floor is uniquely themed enabling you to select the most appropriate one for your party. For example, The W1 Club, with its flashing dance floor, is for those who want a good old fashioned knees up or boogie, the Alfresco is suited for a more refined type of gathering with champagne and cocktails and some of the cutest bar tenders in town and the Hygge Lounge is for an intimate gathering of friends to toast the happy couple to their many years of wedded bliss.
